The Fibre Art show theme for 2019 is intended to get your imagination and creativity flowing to create some beautiful fibre art. What is your medium of choice? Weaving, knitting, felting, quilting, silk fusion.....?? -----
Show Information: This exhibit is a juried show and adherence to the theme is the focus of the juried selection. The artwork is not judged but there will be a "Viewer's Choice" prize awarded. Inclusion and blending of fibre-based art and mediums is acceptable and encouraged. Collaboration amongst different types of fibre artists is applauded. Wall art, free standing and 3D are all welcome. Open to all Manitoba fibre artists and 2019 MFF vendors. All entries must be submitted here through the TFAM website. Fill in the online form and email your pictures as per the instructions on the form.
Details: All submitted artwork must be original and must not have been displayed at the MB Fibre Festival Art Show before. Wall Art – Size: minimum size of 12” on any one side. The maximum height is 40”. - Hanging Sleeve: required; please include a dowel or rod with holes or eyelets at each end. Please note** Artwork in a rigid frame with a wire or string is acceptable. 3D Art - Size: must fit on an 18" plinth and must be self supporting. If you are showing clothing, you must supply your own mannequin or bust.
Submitted Artwork can be for sale but must have a minimum price of $75. - 20% commission on sales goes to TFAM.
Important Dates: July 3 - Submit the ‘Intent to Enter’ form and $10 fee; *this lets us know you are serious about entering and are busy creating your artwork. Aug 23 - Submit the ‘Entry Form’ and photographs of your artwork; *the information and photos will be used in the jurying process. Aug 30 - Notification sent to all entrants via email. Those selected will receive information about where to deliver the artwork and where/when to pick it up after the show. Sept 9 - 11 - Artwork drop off
